The Auckland North Team were privileged have a visit from Professors Shinichi Okazawa and Hiryuki Sugai from Japan.

Both professors have done extensive research in deafblind education and shared their knowledge with us.

Over morning tea we compared service delivery between the two countries, including how we report to whānau and schools and support for our deafblind learners.

The morning concluded with a tour of the satellite classes, resource area and the sensory playground.
