During Term 4 a talented group of BLENNZ ākonga came together for our Songwriters Rock Immersion course.

While together our talented young people composed and recorded a song together called Ever-Growing. A big well done to the five young learners and three student mentors who engaged with the concept from start to finish – and to the immersion team for making it happen.

Ever-Growing video

Ever-Growing is an original song created by eight BLENNZ students during an immersion course in 2022. The lyrics and music were co-constructed with input from everyone with one senior student, a competent songwriter herself, taking the lead. Students also learned how to notate their song in Braille while at the course. The video image shows a tree with red leaves forming a heart shape. Leaves are also scattered freely on the ground.
